나는 하늘을 날아오르고 있었다. 한국의 짐승왕 일족의 일원으로서, 나의 마법 재능은 무한변신이다. 어떤 동물의 모습으로든 변신할 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 마음대로 형태를 바꾸거나 음양의 기운을 다룰 수도 있다. 이 능력은 내게 사자의 힘과 독수리의 속도를 부여한다. 생각해 보라, 1만 년의 인간 문명 속에서 누가 사자만큼의 괴력을 지닐 수 있겠는가! 하지만 이 짐승왕의 기술에는 약점이 있다. 바로 오행의 힘을 빌려 쓰는 마법사들을 극도로 두려워한다는 것이다. 부드러움으로 단단함을 이겨내는, 궁지에 몰린 짐승처럼 필사적으로 저항하는 그들을 말이다…
갑자기, 앞쪽 허공에 10킬로미터 너비의 희미한 초록빛이 나타났다. 아래를 내려다보니 웅장한 산맥이 펼쳐져 있었다. 옥으로 만든 궁궐, 주홍색 건물, 푸른 기와, 정자, 그리고 조각된 난간들이 마치 태피스트리처럼 어우러져 있었다.
이곳이 바로 허천종이다.
나는 날개를 접고 하늘에서 내려와 높은 건물의 문 앞에 섰다.
“누구냐? 어찌하여 내 허천종에 무단으로 들어왔느냐?” 건물 안에서 목소리가 들려왔다. “저는 한국 삼성그룹 소속 암살자입니다. 종주님의 명을 받아 서천종의 종주 구경 님을 뵈러 왔습니다.” 내가 말했다.
“종주님은 20년 동안 은둔하시며 외부인을 만나지 않으십니다. 돌아가십시오.” 그 목소리가 말했다.
“하지만 저는 삼성 그룹 종주님의 종파 표식을 가지고 있습니다. 200년 전 마계가 동대륙을 침략했을 때, 저희 삼성 그룹과 수천 종파는 동맹을 맺고 여러 종파를 규합하여 마계의 침략에 맞섰다고 합니다. 게다가 마계를 진압한 후, 삼성 그룹이나 수천 종파 중 어느 쪽이든 위험에 처할 경우, 종주님의 표식을 지참하여 상대 종파에 도움을 요청할 수 있고, 어느 쪽도 거절할 수 없다는 약속을 했습니다.” 제가 말했습니다.
“아, 그래서 삼성 종주님의 표식을 가져오셨군요?” 그가 물었습니다.
“네.” 제가 대답했습니다.
그러자 저는 옷 속에서 순금으로 만들어진, 눈부시게 빛나는 생동감 넘치는 스핑크스를 꺼냈습니다. 내가 그것을 공중으로 던지자 스핑크스는 거대한 피라미드로 변했다. 높이 150미터, 길이 230미터에 달하는 그 피라미드는 허공에 떠올라 장엄하고 위압적인 모습으로 솟아오르며 산맥의 보호막을 부술 듯 위풍당당했다.
갑자기 허공천종의 문이 저절로 열리더니, 흰색 트렌치코트를 입고 짧은 검은 머리를 한 키 2미터 정도의 잘생긴 남자가 걸어 나왔다. 그는 태연하게 내게 다가와 말했다. "이것이 틀림없이 증표라면, 나와 함께 허공천종 안으로 들어가 보시오." 안개산맥 전체에 걸쳐 펼쳐진 허공천종은 엄청나게 광활하여 99개의 본당을 비롯해 수많은 누각과 망루를 자랑했다. 산에는 만 명이 넘는 제자뿐 아니라 셀 수 없이 많은 희귀한 새와 짐승, 그리고 온갖 종류의 신성한 약초가 자라고 있었다. 나는 이 제자를 따라 허공종으로 들어갔다. 궁궐, 호수, 정원, 산, 폭포, 그리고 사슬 다리를 지나 마침내 우뚝 솟은 절벽 아래에 도착했다.
갑자기, 극도로 슬프고 절망적인 비파 소리가 들려왔다.
그 음악은 부드럽고, 여운이 남으며, 선율적이고, 우아하고 고귀했다. 마치 고상한 귀부인이 흠잡을 데 없는 품위로 오랫동안 흠모해 온 왕자에게 마음을 털어놓으며, 헤어지기 아쉬워하며 다시 만날 곳을 궁금해하는 듯한, 가슴을 찢는 듯한 감정이 담겨 있었다.
그때, 내 옆에 있던 제자가 바람을 타고 나는 순식간에 100피트(약 30미터)가 넘는 높이로 솟아올라 안개가 자욱한 절벽 끝에 착지했다.
내 앞에는 거대한 검이 조각해 놓은 듯한 산비탈이 펼쳐져 있었다. 자욱한 안개 속 절벽 앞에, 긴 생머리에 태극권 무늬가 수놓인 도포를 입은 남자가 가부좌를 틀고 앉아 있었다. 그의 가슴 앞에는 하얀 비파가 놓여 있었고, 그리움이 담긴 선율이 흘러나오고 있었다. 제자를 따라 그에게 다가가자, 그는 갑자기 비파 연주를 멈추고 깊은 한숨을 내쉬었다. 감동에 젖어 있는 듯했다.
"박지연 씨, 티아라의 멤버로 키는 168cm나 되시죠. 1분 1초 동안 당신의 춤을 봤는데, 믿을 수 없을 정도로 섹시하고 매혹적이었어요. 용감하고 영웅적인 분위기까지. 세상 어떤 무용수라도 당신만큼 매력적일 순 없을 겁니다! 무슨 일로 저를 찾아와서 수천산에 오신 겁니까?"
"온라인 게임을 만들고 싶어 하신다고 들었습니다. 저는 교주님의 명을 받아 '성지(DOTA3) 게임 디자인 비법'이라는 책을 찾으러 수천산에 왔습니다." 이 매뉴얼이 100조 달러의 가치가 있다고 하더군요. 저희, 티아라는… "라 밴드와 삼성 그룹은 전 세계의 부를 모아 국가에 환원하고 국민의 복지를 증진하기 위해 설립되었습니다. 그러니 당신의 기술력을 지분으로 활용하여 저희 회사에 합류해 주시길 바랍니다. 그러면 게임 지분의 30%를 드리겠습니다. 함께 전 세계 모든 사람을 위한 대규모 멀티플레이어 온라인 게임을 만들어 갑시다. 괜찮으시겠습니까?"
"'도타3(DOTA3) 게임 디자인 매뉴얼'을 만든 이후 3년이라는 긴 시간을 기다렸습니다. 드디어 오늘 누군가가 제게 찾아오다니. 좋습니다, 그럼 이만 가보겠습니다…" 구징은 말을 마치고 돌아섰다. 옥관을 쓴 30대 청년의 모습이 드러났다.

忽然，前方虚空，亮起一片绿濛濛的青光，宽达10公里，我俯头一看，只见底下已经是一片玉宇琼楼、朱楼碧瓦、亭台楼阁、雕栏玉砌成就的虚天山脉了。
这就是虚天派了。
我收拢翅膀，从空降落，伫立在一栋高楼大门前。
“外面何人，为何擅闯我虚天派？”楼里一道声音说道。
“我是韩国三星集团的一名杀手，奉我门主之令，要拜访虚天派的掌门古井先生。”我说。
“我家掌门已经闭关二十载，不见外人，你回去吧。”那声音道。
“但我此番携带三星集团的掌门令，据说，200年前，魔界入侵东土大陆时，我们三星集团与虚天派曾是同盟，一起号召天下诸多门派，抵御魔界入侵，并且在平定魔界妖孽之时，还互相约定，日后三星集团与虚天派，若有危难，便可携带掌门信物，向另一门求助，并且不得拒绝。”我说。
“噢，那你此番可带来了三星掌门信物？”他问。
“有。”我说。
便从怀里取出一尊狮身人面像，乃赤金做成，金光闪闪，栩栩如生，我随即将之往虚空一抛，这狮身人面像便化作一座巨大的金字塔，高150米，长230米，沉浮虚空，巍峨壮观，并越升越高，竟有将此山脉的护罩冲破之势。
虚天派楼门忽然自动开启，步出一名身高两米，身穿白色风衣，黑色短发的俊秀男子，他步履从容地走至我面前，说道：“既然此是信物无疑，那么你便随我进入虚天派吧。”
此坐落整座缥缈山脉的虚天派，庞大无比，光是殿宇就有99座，其它亭台楼阁，多不胜数，山上不仅有弟子万余，更有珍禽异兽，仙山草药，不胜枚举。我随此名弟子，进入虚天派，分别经过殿宇、湖泊、花园、高山、瀑布、链桥，最后抵达一座高耸入云的山崖底下。
此时，忽然闻听到一阵极为哀伤绝望的琵琶乐。
听这音乐声音轻柔，缠绵不绝，抑扬顿挫，优雅高贵，仿佛一位亭亭玉立，仪态万方的贵族少女，在对一名仰慕已久的王子，倾诉心思，偶偶细语，不舍得此番离别，他日又将在哪重逢，那种缠绵悱恻，哀伤欲绝的感情。
随即，旁边弟子带我使用御风术，漂浮升起，须臾间上升百丈来高，在一云雾迷蒙之处，落地于一悬崖地带。
眼前，是一片仿佛被一柄巨剑削平的山腰，云雾缥缈间，山崖之前，正有一长发披肩的男子，身披绣着太极图案的长袍，盘膝而坐，在他胸前，平放一把白色琵琶，而这首相思音乐，正出自此人之手。但是等我随弟子前行，抵达此人身后不远，他却忽然停了拨弄琵琶乐，而是长叹一声，不胜唏嘘。
“你名叫朴智妍，乃是T-ara的一名歌手，身高168，我看过你演唱1分1秒所跳的舞蹈，十分性感迷人，英姿飒爽，我纵观天下舞者万千，但要若你这般妩媚动人，恐怕也是虚指可数也！说吧，此番你来虚天山寻我，有何要事？”
“我们听说你想做网络游戏？我此番奉门主之令，拜访虚天山，就是为《圣地（DOTA3）游戏设计秘籍》这本书而来。据说，此部秘籍价值100万亿美元，我们T-ara乐队，以及三星集团，成立之宗旨就为搜集天下财富，上报国家，下安百姓黎民。故而，我希望前辈能入我公司，以技术入股，届时此游戏股份，先生能够获得30%，我们一起制作一款全地球人都玩的大型网络游戏。不知可否？”
“我自创作《圣地（DOTA3）游戏设计秘籍》以来，苦等3年，今日终有人寻我，也罢，我这就去吧……”
古井言毕，转过身来，却是一名看上去三十来岁的玉冠青年。

“However, I am carrying the Samsung Group’s sect leader’s token. It is said that 200 years ago, when the Demon Realm invaded the Eastern Continent, our Samsung Group and the Xutian Sect were allies, jointly calling upon many sects to resist the Demon Realm’s invasion. Furthermore, when we quelled the Demon Realm’s demons, we agreed that if either Samsung Group or the Xutian Sect were ever in danger, they could carry their sect leader’s token to seek help from the other sect, and neither could refuse,” I said.
“Oh, so you brought the Samsung sect leader’s token?” he asked.
“Yes,” I said.
I then took out a sphinx from my robes, made of pure gold, gleaming and lifelike. I tossed it into the air, and the sphinx transformed into a colossal pyramid, 150 meters high and 230 meters long, floating in the void, majestic and awe-inspiring, rising ever higher, threatening to shatter the mountain range's protective barrier.
Suddenly, the gates of the Void Heaven Sect opened automatically, and a handsome man, two meters tall, wearing a white trench coat and with short black hair, stepped out. He walked calmly to me and said, "Since this is undoubtedly the token, then come with me into the Void Heaven Sect." This Void Heaven Sect, situated throughout the entire Misty Mountain Range, was immensely vast, boasting 99 main halls alone, and countless other pavilions and towers. The mountain not only housed over ten thousand disciples but also countless rare birds and beasts, and a myriad of sacred herbs. I followed this disciple into the Void Heaven Sect, passing through palaces, lakes, gardens, mountains, waterfalls, and chain bridges, finally arriving at the foot of a towering cliff.
Suddenly, I heard the extremely sorrowful and despairing music of a pipa.
The music was gentle, lingering, and melodious, elegant and noble, as if a graceful noblewoman, with impeccable bearing, was pouring out her heart to a prince she had long admired, whispering softly, reluctant to part, wondering where they would meet again—a poignant and heart-wrenching emotion.

Before his chest rested a white pipa, and this melody of longing was his own work. But as I followed my disciple and approached him, not far behind, he suddenly stopped playing the pipa, letting out a long sigh, deeply moved.
"Your name is Park Ji-yeon, a singer in T-ara, 168cm tall. I saw your dance performance for just one minute and one second; it was incredibly sexy and captivating, with a dashing and heroic air. Of all the dancers in the world, few can match your allure! Tell me, what brings you to Mount Xutian to see me?"
