A letter from Haidao to the United Nations(4)

So-called literature has academic value. For example, "The Spirit of the Laws" written by Montesquieu of France analyzes various state systems in detail, including republicanism, monarchy, and despotism. There are also "Confessions" written by Luo Shuo, "The Wealth of Nations" written by Adam Smith, and the Christian "Bible". All these literature, philosophy, and novels with academic value have indirectly influenced the cultural wisdom of a person and a country. For example, the United States, because it was originally a colony of European countries, could freely absorb the famous works of academic value from various eras in Europe, so their civilization system is very advanced. Since the writing of the "Declaration of Independence of the United States" in 1776, they have been strong for three centuries. For example, why was China able to be strong for five thousand years in ancient times? The Zhou Dynasty, Qin Dynasty, Han Dynasty, Tang Dynasty, Song Dynasty, Yuan Dynasty, and Ming Dynasty were all listed as the world's first power, because they also relied on a set of enduring civilization system. From this we can see how important a role literature plays for a person or a country. Of course, most books on the market have no academic value. They are vulgar and for entertainment purposes only, such as martial arts novels. So, why do I say that some world classics are worth 1,000 and some martial arts novels are worth 30? In fact, for me personally, it took me 30 years to write the book "Poetry, Painting, Music: First Love".
