3000年了，无论是古希腊的《伊索寓言》，古阿拉伯的《一千零一夜》，古中国的《三国演义》，还是近代的《忏悔录》、《简爱》、《变形记》、《百年孤独》这些作品，作者大多生活坎坷，困苦疲惫，说得简单点，就是没有钱。为什么会这样呢？在人们眼里，作家不是该受尊敬的么？但实际情况是，大多数书籍，像画作，印刷出来卖不出去，既因为喜欢文学的读者少，又因为历史遗留的名著太多，使得学生，购买书籍的时候，首先是去购买富有名誉的世界名著，至于当代作品，如果缺乏名气，缺乏成就，就会搁置书店，无人问津。所以，面对这种情况，我们迫切需要把世界名著的价格大量提高，以使读者去购买当代书籍。关于世界名著的版权，理应被国家保护，定价昂贵，所销售获得的巨款，将类似诺贝尔文学奖，扶持文人，也可以用来办慈善机构、贫困学校、研究院、精神病院等等。同时有必要要人认识到文学的真正价值，世界名著卖1000元，那么当代其它书籍，就可定价提高，随着知识变得昂贵，购买书籍的人不仅不会减少，相反会增加很多，因为大家都知道世界名著的价格了，所以心理上会使他们更多阅读。

If a world classic sells for 1,000 yuan, then the prices of other contemporary books can be raised.
